Je vous souhaite des rêves à n'en plus finir, et l'envie furieuse d'en réaliser quelques-uns — Jacques Brel

So you wanna travel around the world?

photo

Yeah, actually I have been thinking about it for a long time. And now I am doing it. Its tough to leave a life behind, but I couldn't stay in place... Here is my planned itinerary. Please send me a photo, so I can put it in my friends gallery.

Navigating the pictures

To navigate the image galleries, clicking on the right or left part of an image will bring you to the next or previous image, clicking in the center will bring you to the referring text and clicking near the top of the image will bring you to the gallery for the image location.

Contact Info

photo

I can be most easily contacted through email at jld@acm.org. On MSN Messenger, my contact is jeanlucduprat@hotmail.com but I don't read email there. My messenger handle usually reflects the last place I logged in from. Finally, I carry a cell phone. The number changes regularly, depending on where I am, so you should check this page before calling. The number currently is +63333207948 (last updated Oct 04 2004), where + stands for the international dialing prefix: 011 in North America, and 00 everywhere else. I need to be within cell coverage area and have credit on my account to receive calls... But sometimes it does work...

Credits

This site is generated with a custom Python script written by Martin Blais which he generously contributed. He deserves all the credit for the structure and organization of this site. It is hosted by Joel DeYoung. Angus MacKay and Narayan Sainaney also offered to host it, but it didn't happen for technical reasons. My email account has been hosted courtesy of Narayan Sainaney and Joel DeYoung at different times.

Several individuals have generously contributed the use of their computers, Internet connections and phone lines. I am deeply indebted to them, there would not be so many updates and photos without their generosity.

This site is not referenced in any of the search engines. Part of the reason is that its contents are personal in nature, and I don't really see the point of referencing them... But then I realize that there may be people interested in seeing the places I have visited recently. Feel free to pass the links around. If you are a new reader, I would love to get an email of introduction and your opinions on the contents.

Please send email asking for permission to republish any of the photos: simply cropping the copyright notice doesn't make it legal. Higher resolution versions of these photos are available. The images presented here are all unmanipulated. Finally the photographer is credited at the bottom right of the photos which I did not take myself...
