La ballade de la mer salée

As I am getting ready to hit the road and here is my plan...

  • Vienna, Austria Oct 25 - Oct 28 2003
  • Iran Oct 29 - Dec 11 2003
  • Dubai, UAE Dec 11 - Dec 16 2003
  • India Dec 17 - Mar 16 2004
  • Nepal Feb 17 - Mar 10 2004
  • Thailand Mar 16 - Mar 19 2004
  • Philippines Mar 19 - May 20 2004
  • Singapore May 20 - Jul 15 2004
I will also visit Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia during that period...
  • Australia Jul 15 - Sep 01 2004
I am planning on visiting Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu and New Caledonia during that period
  • New Zealand Sep 01 - Oct 01 2004
  • Papeete, Tahiti Oct 01 - Oct 22 2004
I am planning on visiting Polynesia, definitely the Marquesas, and hopefully Easter Island
  • Los Angeles, CA Oct 22 - Oct 25 2004
  • Vancouver, BC Oct 25 2004
And then move on to where I am going to live (which may mean no moving at all)
I was hoping to attend Siggraph 2004 in LA (August 8-12 2004) and to ride my motorcycle down there from Vancouver, but according to the plan (and plane ticket) I won't be back... Looks like I won't attend this year.
La maison dorée de Samarkand

I want to acknowledge my debt to Hugo Pratt who inspired me to actually take off and travel; Corto Maltese had quite a strong influence on my itinerary as it turns out...

What will actually happen is anyone's guess, but here it is. If you would like to meet up with me somewhere along the road, send me an email... My plans are vague and flexible. I hope that this web site reflects what actually happens on this trip.
