The Loire Valley is famous for its castles and wines. Its is pretty close to Paris and French nobility used to go there to indulge in various pleasures, giving many of these castles very interesting stories. We chose to visit Chenonceau, one of the most famous ones; a castle whose history is dominated by women.
After visiting the castle we found the best hotel (La Roseraie) we stayed at the whole time we were in France, and had somptuous dinner. We had an appartment large enough for 5 or 6 people, and the hotel had a pool... Although after dinner we were too stuffed to go for a swim and in the morning we were running late... The hotel bakes its croissants during the night, so we had to order breakfast before retiring for the night... But they were definitely the best we had the whole trip!
